Delhi senior Katie Darling sped to victories in the 100- and 400-meter hurdles to lead the Bulldogs to track victories over Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton, Oxford, Greene and Deposit on Wednesday.

Darling won the 100 hurdles in 15.9 seconds and the 400 hurdles in 1:08.9.

"The 15.9 was into a headwind," B-G/A coach Robb Munro said.

Delhi had 89 points, 13 better than runner-up B-G/A.

The Bears received victories in the shot put (33 feet, 5.5 inches) and discus (93-1) by Melissa Reigles.

On the boys side, Delhi junior Marty Cole set a stadium record in the shot put of 50-6.

Munro said Cole broke the previous by about two feet. Cole also won the discus (123-4).

B-G/A won the boys meet with 119 points _ 13 ahead of runner-up Delhi.

Josh Norris won the 200 (23.9) and the 400 (54.2) for the Bears.

The Bulldogs' Davionne Price won the 110 hurdles in 16.2 and Greene's Mike Hollings won the high jump, clearing 6-2.

Munro will send a 1,600 relay team of Dustin Ross, Kyle Kelly and Steve Howe to the Penn Relays on Saturday.

"I'd like to see them go under 3:30, which is very reasonable," Munro said.

Stamford had 75 points _ seven better than Milford. Downsville had 13.

Mike Foy won three times for Milford. He crossed first in the 100 (11.5), the 200 (23.6) and the 400 (54.6).

Milford's Andy Jones won the shot put (40-8) and the discus (120-4).

John Marmet won three individual events to help Laurens to Tri-Valley League victories over South Kortright/Davenport and Andes.

The Leopards had 98 points, runner-up SK/Davenport 30 and Andes had 19.

Marmet won the 1,600 meters in 5:18.5, the 110 hurdles (19.53) and the 400 hurdles (1:09.15).

Pat Bullock of Laurens contributed victories in the 100 (11.71) and 400 (55.58).c

Rashawn Herrington of South Kortright won the 200 (24.19), the shot put (40-8) and the high jump (5-8).

On the girls side, Laurens won with 60 points _ 16 better than SK/Davenport. Andes had 16.

Laurens; Catherine Benner placed first in the 800 (2:51.85), the 1,500 (5:50.78) and anchored the winning 1,600 relay team.

For SK-Davenport, Chelsea Haight won the 100 (13.85), 200 (29.78) and anchored the winning 400 relay team.

"We knew it was going to be a tough match," Sidney coach Loraine Flyzik said. "I said to the boys at the beginning that this will show us what we're made of. We knew it would be a tough one and we rose to the occasion."
