Those who attend are asked to arrive by 11:45 a.m. Lunch will be served, and the presentations will begin at 12:30 p.m.
"Each year, we invite our elected representatives to discuss the State-of-the-State," Rob Robinson, president and chief operating officer of The Otsego County Chamber, said in a media release. "With the continuing fiscal crisis facing our state, the economic issues that face our country and general chaos Albany, this luncheon will be the kickoff of our annual legislative action program in what promises to be a truly critical year for business."
The elected representatives agreeing to address this luncheon are state Assembly members Mark Butler, R-Newport; Peter Lopez, R-Schoharie; and William Magee, D-Nelson; along with state Sen. James Seward, R-Milford.
Wilber National Bank is the event sponsor.
Each speaker will give an eight-minute presentation on what they believe will be the critical legislative issues for 2010. Following the presentations will be a question-and-answer session moderated by the Chamber President & CEO.
"This is a great opportunity to hear our elected officials discuss what they will do to resolve our fiscal situation and to listen to our membership's perspective on creating jobs," Peter Livshin, chairman of the Otsego County Chamber's board, said in the release.
"We thank Wilber National Bank for their continued sponsorship of this important event," Robinson said in the release. "Wilber is strongly committed to helping the Chamber in informing the community on these critical issues."
The luncheon is by reservation only. The cost is $15 for employees and guests of Chamber members and $25 for nonmembers. Seats must be reserved by noon Thursday, Dec. 31.
