Cody Chambers hit a two-out, three-run double in the top of the sixth inning as Sidney earned a 5-1 Legion victory over Delhi on Wednesday.

Chambers finished 2-for-4 for Sidney, which scored four times in the inning to snap a 1-all tie. Andy Kozak contributed two hits and two runs.

Winning pitcher Brett Hauber (3-0) struck out eight and walked four over six innings. The game was called after the sixth because of rain.

Troy Tucker doubled for Delhi, which finished with two hits.

Sidney also hosted Gaithersburg (Md.) on Wednesday, falling, 3-0. Gaithersburg (15-2) is the reigning Maryland state champion.

Kyle Davie had two hits for Sidney, which received a double from Hauber.

Chambers (0-2) scattered eight hits and struck out five in the loss.

Sidney (8-8) hosts Deposit today.
