Library trustees to meet Friday
OTEGO — The Harris Memorial Library Board of Trustees will meet in special session at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the library at 334 Main St. in Otego.
Fundraising events planned in Franklin
FRANKLIN — A spaghetti dinner will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Franklin Central School cafetorium. The meal will include spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and basket raffles.
Proceeds will benefit Dylan Dewey and Tyler Holcomb, who were critically injured after the pickup truck they were riding in on Sept. 5 spun off the road and struck a tree in the town of Franklin.

Tourney proceeds to benefit programs
RICHFIELD SPRINGS — Prizes totaling more than $1,000 will be offered at this year’s Lyn Edinger Memorial Golf Tournament scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 22, at Meadow Links Golf Course at 476 County Highway 27 in Richfield Springs.
According to a media release, the event is the primary fundraiser for the Cooperstown Rotary Foundation, a nonprofit, tax deductible organization.
Funds generated from the tournament will be used to support community programs including the Michael Mayne Scholarship at Edmeston Central School, Rotary Youth Exchange and the Youth Food Movement.
Tee time will be at 2 p.m., with teams competing in a captain-and-crew format on an 18-hole course.
The $60 per person entry fee includes the cart and greens fee and food and beverages at the awards ceremony and reception following play.
Cash and gift certificates will be awarded for first, second and third places as well as a $25 Closest to the Pin prize and $500 Hole-in-One prize.
Individuals and businesses may sponsor a hole on the course for $100 or make a donation to an auction which will follow the picnic dinner at the pavilion.

Award nominations sought for awards
DELHI — The Delaware County Historical Association will accept nominations for its annual Awards of Merit until Oct. 19.
According to a media release, individuals and groups judged to have made significant contributions to the preservation and presentation of local history, traditions and culture, will be presented with awards at DCHA’s annual meeting on Sunday, Nov. 3.
Those submitting a nomination are asked to write a short letter or email detailing the reasons they feel their nominee is deserving of the award.
Those making nominations should include their name, address and phone number and the name, address and phone number of the nominee and address it to Award of Merit Committee, Delaware County Historical Association, 46549 State Highway 10, Delhi, NY 13753.
