SUNY DELHI — CDO Workforce, in partnership with SUNY Delhi, will host a 60-hour Electrician’s Helper Training from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 17 to 27, in the Electrical Technologies building on the SUNY Delhi Campus. The course will cover residential electrical installations, maintenance and safety in a combination of hands-on and classroom lessons.

Topics will include safety and tools of the trade, the National Electric Code, schematic, wiring and one-line diagrams and trade-specific math, calculations involving current, voltage, power and resistance in electrical circuits, recognizing wiring methods and learning installation of residential switches and receptacles.

All participants who complete the training will receive basic electrical tools.

SUNY ONEONTA — O-State men’s basketball head coach Cameron Conover will host a summer basketball camp for boys and girls age 6 to 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 1 to 5, at the Alumni Field House on campus.

The cost is $200 per player and includes a camp T-shirt.
