DOWNTOWN — Swimming, gymnastics and dance will be combined into one activity for ages 7 and older from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 10 to Nov. 12, at the Oneonta Family YMCA at 20-26 Ford Ave. in Oneonta.

Basic movements and figures involved in synchronized swimming will be taught and a routine performed at the end of the class.

Participants must be able to swim 25 yards of the front and back crawl.

The fee is $69 for members or $159. Registration is open.

SOUTH KORTRIGHT — The workshop “Art, Spirituality and Jin Shin Jyutsu Self Help” will be presented by Mercedes Cecilia from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 and 22, at the School of Environmental & Vocational Arts at 488 SEVA Lane in South Kortright. Participants may attend one or both days.

According to a media release, creativity can open the door to mindfulness and allow for emotional healing, resilience and total well-being. Cecilia will share hands-on Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help flows to help reconnect with the core of one’s creative energy.

As further stated in the release, watercolor, acrylic, pastels and mixed-media painting will also be provided along with silence and solitude surrounded by gardens and the company of other artists.

Cecilia is certified in traditional Naturopathic medicine and a Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner. The founder of Art and Spirituality Retreats, Cecilia been leading seminars in healing and creativity for more than 36 years.

The workshop fee is $50 per day. A vegetarian lunch and snack will be served.
