COOPERSTOWN _ "The Glimmerglass Opera Guild committee is excited about the unusual and diverse items available at the seventh annual auction," said Guild president, Joan Grimes.
The auction, which will be the evening of Aug. 16 in the Lakefront Park, will include a registered Angus black steer, a Louis XV revival Victorian loveseat circa 1860, a dinner set of 12 Adams Calyx Ware "Lodestaff" pattern, and a Virgil perfected silent practice clavier circa 1888. Also donated have been lunches and dinners in local restaurants, a photo sitting, a videotape of a home and a vacation in Florida.
Donations for the auction are still being accepted. Call the Glimmerglass Opera office at 547-5704 to arrange pickup. Small items may be taken to the office at 93 Main St.
Auction bidding will start at 5 p.m. Karl and Rose Baeurle are donating their services as auctioneer and cashier.

COOPERSTOWN _ Holdover for one more week of the comedy "Cradle Snatchers," at Duke's Oak Theatre in Cooperstown was announced yesterday.
Officials reported that "Cradle Snatchers" will be playing through Aug. 13 at the theatre.
Appearing in the comedy as three middle-aged society matrons who hire themselves college boys in retaliation for their husbands' philandering are Irene Windust, Jo Ann Miller and Helen F. Evans.
And a funny trio they make along with their youngster playboys in the persons of George H. Morris, Don Draper and M. D. Wilson.
Another change in schedule has been announced for the week of Aug. 13, at which time "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter," will replace the previously scheduled "Vinegar Tree."
