WALTON _ A Red Cross course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation was completed Feb. 13 by instructor David O. Simmons at the New York State Electric and Gas Corp. in Walton, recertifying 11 students in CPR.
This course provides the necessary knowledge and skills to enable those certified to give artificial respiration and chest compressions to stimulate heart and lung action in cases of heart attack, drowning and suffocation, and other crises.
Those completing the class included Barry Frederick of Morris, Milton J. Harmon of Oneonta, Alan D. Johnson of New Lisbon, John L. Jones of Norwich, Ronald C. Kinch of Schenevus, Florence B. Loomis of Mount Vision, Allen H. Nichols, Carol Westcott and Richard Westcott, all of Laurens, also Stephen B. Roys of Waterville and David R. Van Duyne of Bridgewater.
