SIDNEY_ A Port Crane businessman has expanded his Chenango Forks Agway dealership by purchasing the Sidney Agway store at 32 Cartwright Ave.
Thomas Yahner, the owner, officially opened his new business on Oct. 6, after operating Yahner's Hardware Store in Chenango Forks as an Agway representative for the last six years.
As a Agway representative, Yahner handles primarily Agway products but in other name brands as well. He purchased the Sidney store from the Agway Corp. and leases the land on which it is located.
The Sidney store is approximately twice as large as the Chenango Forks store and Yahner said he was trying to triple his business in one fell swoop.
