The Oneonta District United Methodist Women will hold their annual fall meeting on Thursday, Sept. 22, in the Otego United Methodist Church from 7 to 9 p.m. The main speaker will be the Rev. Richard Breuninger of Oneonta whose topic is "Journey of Struggle _ Journey in Hope."
Mr. Breuninger spent 1968-70 in Sierra Leone, Africa, as a Peace Corps worker. He is also area director of Rotary Exchange students. He is associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Oneonta. He is graduate of Hartwick College and Drew University and lives in Oneonta with his wife, Mary, and two children, Maria and Eric.

COOPERSTOWN _ The annual Griffin-Tice Club Picnic was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Skellie, Index, with 27 members and guests in attendance.
Mrs. Harriet Westfall, Schoharie Valley Star Chapter, was named to head the group for 1959.
Other officers are Mrs. Ada Tryon, Rising Star Chapter, Cobleskill, secretary-treasurer; and Mrs. M. Anita Kopfman, Otego Chapter, historian.
Next year the club will picnic at Buckhorn Lake, Unadilla, the second Sunday in September.
