Mrs. Vera McLaughlin, R.N., trained 14 high school students and two college students, who are now ready to be assigned to duties for the summer as members of the Junior Volunteers at Fox Hospital.
The young volunteers are: Andrea Barr, Cathie Benevides, Teresa Carr, Dawn DeVilliers, Monika Hofbauer, Nicole LaPotin, Jeanne Pellegrino and Yvonne Platt, all of Oneonta; Cheryl Marsh and Connie Martin of Worcester; Julie Parrow of Franklin; and Linda Tonkin of West Laurens. College students are Stacey Tauscher of SUCO and Suzanne Wacker of Hartwick College.
As the new girls are starting, an old hand will be leaving. Nancy Sugarick of Maryland has given 706 hours as a Junior Volunteer as of June 1. She is a member of the June graduating class and will enter the Air Force.
Miss Sugarick will be presented a check for $200 by the Hospital Auxiliary for her service in place of the usual scholarship.
