The Oneonta High School English Department will present Noel Coward's "Blithe Spirit" at 8 p.m. Friday, May 4, in the high school auditorium.
"Blithe Spirit" is the story of a writer who, seeking material for a novel, invites a medium to stage a seance in his home. During the seance, the ghost of his first wife appears, but only he can see and hear her.
The OHS production features Jon Dokuchitz as Charles Condomine, the writer, and Christi Haight and Jody Nicolette as his wives. Music teacher June Sheehan plays the flamboyant medium, Madame Arcati. Math teacher Carol Kirkey and social studies teacher J. V. Hartmann as Dr. and Mrs. Bradman and Sarah Fleischer as the maid complete the cast.
English teacher Robert Squires is the play's director and designer, Lynne Solovitch and Bobbie Johnson are stage managers. Jan Starkweather heads the properties crew, Sandra Thomas the costume crew, Mary Solano the make-up crew, and Peter Uolvarton is designing the lights.
