ROXBURY _ The granddaughter of naturalist John Burroughs will make an appearance in Roxbury Sunday to present a program in a tribute to her famous grandfather.
Elizabeth Burroughs Kelly will be at the Roxbury Library on Sunday, July 8, at 1:30 p.m. to present a videotape on Burroughs that will include old film footage of him in the Roxbury area, private family photos and a recording of him reciting two of his poems.
Roxbury Supervisor Thomas Hynes will then present a honorary certificate to Mrs. Kelly, who is now in her 80s, for her appearance.
Next, a motorcade will proceed to the Burroughs gravesite near his Woodchuck Lodge home in the Hardscrabble Valley, where "Memorial Reflections" will be presented.
Following that will be an open house at the historic lodge on Burroughs Memorial Road, with free admission and free refreshments.

Oneonta Notes: Miss Catherine McGuinness, 14, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McGuinness, 45 Cedar St., is visiting for eight weeks at Camp Wa-klo in Jaffrey, N.H.
Mrs. Amy Tinklepaugh, 44 Elm St., and Mrs. Maud Robinson, 22 Ford Ave., are leaving July 8 for the West Coast where they will spend two months visiting friends and relatives.
