DELHI — Entries from Bainbridge-Guilford Central, Candor Central and Yonkers High School of Commerce were victors in the ninth annual typewriting contest at State University Agricultural and Technical Institute, Delhi.
According to Prof. Sybil L. Gilmore of the college’s business division, winners were:
Jeanne Rosa and Sandi Smith of Bainbridge-Guilford Central, who won the team trophy in the advanced division of the event. In the beginning division of team awards, Miss Sally Bliss, also of Bainbridge-Guilford Central, won the team trophy in the beginners division in the absence of a qualifying team.
In the first year finals, Miss Rosemary Liske of Candor Central took first place medal and Miss Sally Bliss of Bainbridge-Guilford Central took second place.
In the advanced finals, Miss Valerie McNulty of Yonkers High School of Commerce took first place medal and Miss Sandi Smith of Bainbridge-Guilford Central took second place.
Trophies and medals were awarded on the basis of highest net speed by teams or individuals.
