The 32nd annual Unadilla Chamber of Commerce Carnival of Sales will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Community Field on Main Street.
A variety of vendors will be set up along Main Street and at the community field with crafts, antiques, collectibles, and art. Flea markets and garage sales will also be held throughout the village.
The Unadilla Library will have its annual book sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the front porch of the Community House.
Brooks' barbecued chicken and ribs will be available from 11 a.m. until sold out with full dinners and halves available. Additional food vendors will have ice cream, fried dough, hamburgers and more.
New this year is an ice-pop-eating contest at 5:30 p.m. with free sign-ups during the day at the Unadilla Chamber of Commerce booth. Prizes will be given out in five age groups.
Activities throughout the day include a bounce house, children's carnival games, pony rides by Tallman Acres and a dunking dolly booth by the Unatego Color Guard.
The entertainment schedule is as follows: 10:30 a.m., East Meets West Martial Arts Karate Demonstration; 11:15 a.m., Magic by Michael James; 12:30 p.m., Tri Town Teens and the Music Beat; 1:15 p.m., Claddagh Ring Irish Dancers; 2 p.m., Mike Herman So-Lo Blues Singer; 4 p.m., Belly Dancers and a Unadilla Color Guard demonstration; 4:45 p.m., Brett Marshall's Bike Show; and 5:30 p.m., ice-pop-eating contest. All events are held on or near the basketball court.
The Dogs on the Run Show will be held on the Community Field at 2:45 p.m. A car show will be held at the Bishop lot on Main Street across from the Red Apple Convenience Store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. by Brian and Jim Dean of CARS.
Cow chip bingo will be held at D.R. Chambers Sales Barn on Maple Street in a fenced-in area with time to be announced on Saturday. Plots will be sold until the day of the event with the winner eligible to win half of the sales up to $1,000.
A live radio remote will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. by WCDO FM radio.
The event will conclude with Sidetrack Blues Band playing from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the stage area.
