“Lance’s Brewery Tour” will visit Brewery Ommegang from 3 to 5:30 p.m. today as part of a national tour for a book and film of the same name.
Lance Rice, an autistic beer expert, and Aaron Rice, Lance’s nephew and director of “Lance’s Brewery Tour,” will visit the Cooperstown brewery for a tour and tasting, which will be filmed as part of a documentary. The brewery will host a happy hour in honor of the visit, with $1 for every beer sold to be donated to the Lance’s Room charity.
According to a media release, the charity aims to help people with autism attend college, receive vocational training and “achieve their dreams.”
For information about the event, call 544-1800, ext. 805. The brewery is at 656 County Highway 33 in Cooperstown. Information about Lance’s Brewery Tour is available online at lancesbrewerytour.com.
