Fly Creek Valley Corn Maze will open for a second season Saturday, Sept. 14.

The corn maze will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Nov. 2, according to a media release. 

Admission is $6 per person and $3 for children 3 and younger, and includes unlimited entrances to the maze, lawn games and a craft project.

Pick-your-own winter squash and pumpkins are available for a separate fee.

This season’s special events include a 5K race on Sept. 29, night mazes and a haunted maze. Birthday party packages are available upon request.

Job fair scheduled in Margaretville

CDO Workforce is seeking vendors for a job fair to be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Margaretville Telephone Company, 61 Academy Street in Margaretville.

Participation is free, and tables and chairs will be provided. Registration is due by Sept. 13.

United Way seeks award nominations

The United Way of Delaware and Otsego Counties is seeking nominations for the 2019 John Murray Eberhard Award

The award recognizes community leaders who have “a significant impact on enhancing the quality of life and empowering the people of Delaware County,” according to a media release. 

Nominations in the form of one written page will be accepted until Sept. 3 and can be sent to United Way of Delaware and Otsego Counties, 31 Maple Street, Oneonta, NY 13820, or klorraine@unitedwaydo.org
