Exhibit to open at CANO
ONEONTA — The Community Arts Network of Oneonta will host an opening reception to showcase the works of Claudia O’Steen and Aly Ogasian from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2.
The exhibit, titled “Farthest North,” is inspired by the artists’ obsession with 19th century Swedish engineer and aerial photographer S. A. Andree’s catastrophic attempt to fly to the North Pole in a silk hydrogen balloon, according to a media release.
The event is free and open to the public. There will be refreshments and live music. The exhibit will run through Nov. 17. CANO is at 11 Ford Ave. For more information, call 607-432-2070 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
