Earlville Opera House will be the place for Strings Attached, a summer guitar summit and fundraiser for the venue at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The lineup includes:

"¢ Tom Rasely, a nylon string guitarist and composer.

"¢ My New Obsession, featuring guitarist Marc Funaro and singer Connie Silverbrand performing songs by the Barenaked Ladies.

"¢ Thistle Dew, featuring Eric Porter on guitar and vocals, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame drummer Bob Tousignant, Jim Kolet on bass guitar and vocals, and Mike O'Connor on keyboard, harmonica and vocals. They will be joined by 2010 Ultimate Idol winner Jess Sheldon.

At 1 p.m. Sunday, the Hamilton Theater on Lebanon Street will host the local premier of the art film "Holy Blood."

The event is presented as part of the free Earlville Awesome House Family Series.

The film is about the ghost of an actress that visits the theater in which she once performed.

Directors Noe Kidder and Brian Getnick, who will be on hand for questions after the film, shot some of the movie at the Earlville Opera House.

Finally, at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, the EOH will present the April Verch Band. Verch holds two fiddling titles -- Canadian Grand Masters champion and Canadian Open Fiddle champion.

She will joined by Cody Walters on upright bass and banjo, and Clay Ross on guitar and other instruments. The band will play traditional roots tunes, bluegrass and newgrass melodies and country music.
