The Honest Brook Music Festival will host its first concert of the winter season at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Stamford United Methodist Church, featuring violinist Jennifer Liu and pianist Marisa Gupta.

Liu, who plays on a Giovanni Batista Guadagnini violin, has performed extensively at venues across the United States as a soloist and chamber musician, including Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The performance will also present pianist Marisa Gupta. She completed the prestigious Diplome de Soliste at the Conservatoire de Musique de Geneve, studying with Pascal Devoyon. She made her debut with the Houston Symphony Orchestra and has performed at many venues throughout the United States and Europe including Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Barcelona’s Palau de la Musica, Bucharest’s Ateneul Roman, The Warsaw Philharmonic Hall, Paris’s Theatre Adyar, and more. Festival appearances include the Chicago Symphony’s Ravinia Festival, The City of London Festival, and the English Music Festival.
