The Cooperstown Central School Thespians will present their annual fall musical, Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” Thursday through Sunday in the N.J. Sterling Auditorium at the Cooperstown Middle/High School.

The show features more than 30 students singing, dancing and acting, and another 20 working behind the scenes and in the pit orchestra.

The show will feature 80 costumes, an under-the-sea inspired set and the songs of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, including “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea” and “Kiss the Girl.”

There will be three evening shows at 7 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for students and seniors, and may be purchased between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the main office of the middle/high school. Tickets will also be available at the door. Senior citizens residing within the Cooperstown Central School district are eligible for complimentary tickets, but are asked to secure their tickets in advance if possible.

The CCS thespians is an extra-curricular group consisting of students in grades 9 to 12. This year’s show is directed by CCS vocal music instructor Timothy Iversen, with musical direction by Kerri Hogle and Peter Daum. In addition, CCS junior Riley Bowen did choreography on the big tap dancing number.
