The West Kortright Centre will close out its 2018 season at 3 p.m. Sunday with a jazz performance by the Blake Fleming Trio, followed by a closing reception for the annual WKC gallery fundraising exhibit from 5 to 6 p.m.
The exhibit features a multimedia collection of work created by local artists Charlie Bremer, Karin Bremer, Marie Cummings, Caitlyn Davey, Jehed Diamond, Cindy Dunne, Bobbi Goldman, Lanny Harrison, Annie Hayes, Alan Herman, Liz Hoheusle, John Jackson, Editha Mesina, Alex Sader, Rod Sauquillo, David Sundberg, Kamilla Talbot, David J. Turan and Corneel Verlaan. The artwork is available for purchase by silent bidding, ending during the reception.
Sunday’s concert will feature three SUNY Oneonta Music Department instructors: percussionist Blake Fleming, keyboard player John Colonna and bassist Evan Jagels.
In between songs, the musicians will share insights about their techniques and creative process. They will also take questions at the end of the show.
Tickets are $10 ($13 day of), $7 for WKC members ($10 day of), $5 for people 19 and younger. Tickets are available at the ticket booth, starting at 2 p.m. Sunday. There will be no outside food vendor for this show, but concertgoers are encouraged to picnic.
