A former Oneonta man accused of selling heroin was arrested Monday after an investigation by Otsego County deputies and city police, a media release said.
Aaron B. Fleischer, 27, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, a media release from deputies said.
In January, an unspecified quantity of heroin was purchased from Fleischer in the city of Oneonta, deputies said.
Fleischer, who is an inmate in Otsego County jail being held on $50,000 bail on an unrelated drug charge, was arrested by deputies.
He was arraigned by Oneonta City Court Judge Richard W. McVinney and returned to jail on an additional $25,000 bail, pending another court appearance next month, deputies said.
If convicted on the most-recent charge, Fleischer faces up to 12 years in prison because of a previous felony drug possession conviction in 2010, the release said.
The sheriff's Criminal Investigation Division and the Oneonta Police Department Detective Bureau conducted the investigation, and the Otsego County Probation Department and state Department of Community Supervision assisted with the case.
