Editor Sam Pollak will serve as interim manager at The Daily Star and the weekly Cooperstown Crier following the departure of Publisher Armand Nardi, the newspapers announced today.
Frank Wood, senior vice president and division manager for the papers’ owner, Community Newspaper Holdings Inc., said Pollak will serve in an interim role until a new publisher is appointed. Wood said a search for Nardi’s replacement is underway.
Nardi had served as publisher of the newspapers for the past 21 months.
Pollak has been The Daily Star’s editor since January 1998.
