An inmate at the Otsego County Correctional Facility was arrested Friday after staff discovered a vape pen with THC oil during a search of his housing unit.
Deputies said Dakota Coffey, 20, of Laurens, hid the vape pen while being processed into the facility, according to a media release from the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
He was charged with first-degree introduction of dangerous contraband and first-degree possession of dangerous contraband, both D felonies.
Coffey was arraigned in the Hartwick Town Court and released on his own recognizance. His next court appearance is scheduled Aug. 14.
