A local filmmaker is seeking children between the ages of 5 and 13 to serve as extras in a feature-length film being shot in Oneonta this summer.
“Project AvC: Ackerman vs. Callaghan,” a comedy about two elementary schools that declare war on each other to fight for control of a local playground, is being directed by Ryan Shuler, a cinema student from Ithaca College.
Shuler said he plans to shoot portions of the film in locations such as Wilber Park and Riverside Elementary School for four weekends concluding Aug. 4.
Shuler and his sister, Kayleigh, wrote and directed a short mock documentary film titled “Chapstick” that was shown in January at the Foothills Performing Arts and Civic Center.
Anyone who is interested in participating in the shoot can contact Shuler at 267-3578 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
