State police said two people were injured and an Oneonta man arrested after a dispute over loud music.
According to a media release, troopers from the Oneonta station arrested Kenneth A. Friedlander, 56, on July 10 and charged him with the misdemeanor of third-degree assault and the violation of second-degree harassment.
Troopers said they were dispatched to Oneida Street in the town of Oneonta, where two people told troopers they had a disagreement with Friedlander over the volume of music playing outside his trailer. The two people told troopers they approached Friedlander, asking him to turn down his music, and an altercation ensued.
One person accused Friedlander of punching her in the face, causing a black eye. Another person told troopers he tried to get in the middle of the altercation to break it up when he was punched in the mouth, causing two teeth to break.
Friedlander was arraigned in the town of Oneonta court and sent to the Otsego County Jail on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.
