After a head-on collision on state Route 90 in the town of Homer at about 9:20 a.m. Friday, Raymond C. Wamsley, 38, of Stamford, was declared dead at the scene, according to Homer troopers from Troop C who are investigating the crash.
Troopers said a preliminary investigation revealed that Tyler Bloodgood, 27, of Moravia, was driving a 2011 Ford dump truck, owned by the town of Sempronius, westbound when it crossed over into the eastbound lane, a media release said.
The truck driven by Bloodgood struck a 2011 Ford F350 pickup truck operated by Wamsley, troopers said.
Wamsley’s passenger, Herbert Roe, 50, of East Meredith, was transported to Cortland Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for unspecified injuries and released, according to the release.
Bloodgood also was transported to Cortland Regional Medical Center and was treated for unspecified injuries and released, troopers said.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by members of the state Department of Transportation, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, the Homer Police Department, the Homer Fire Department and TLC Ambulance Service.
