COOPERSTOWN — Kimberly Steeley, the East Worcester woman charged with manslaughter in the death of her twin infants last year, appeared briefly Monday at Otsego County Court to receive pre-trial instructions.
Steeley did not appear in open court Monday, and left after her conference. She posted a $100,000 bond not long after her May arrest and remains free on that bond.
Otsego County Judge John Lambert said a trial date will be set after both sides have had a chance to submit their motions.
Steeley, 27, is charged with two counts of manslaughter in the June 2018 deaths of her twins.
Liam and Bonde Steeley were less than two months old when they died 11 days apart, both of asphyxiation, both while sleeping with their mother in the East Worcester home she shared with her parents and boyfriend, the twins’ father, according to Otsego County District Attorney John Muehl.
According to police, Bonde died June 5, 2018, and her brother died in the same manner June 16, 2018.
