A State University College at Oneonta student was bumped by an Oneonta police car being driven on routine patrol Sept. 5 at 1:12 a.m. after she illegally ran into the road, police said. She was treated and released at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital.
Lt. Douglas Brenner said that Jamie Bragg, 18, Bronx, was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way to a vehicle by a pedestrian not in crosswalk.
Oneonta Sgt. Branden Collison was driving the car, near 99 Main St., at about 10-15 miles per hour, when she ran into the road, Brenner said. Collison hit his brakes but bumped the student, who was knocked to the ground, the lieutenant said.
