State police report they arrested a Schoharie man who had more than 12 ounces of marijuana.
According to a media release, troopers from the Cobleskill station arrested Dylan Finch, 26, on Oct. 6 and charged him with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, and false personation, a misdemeanor.
Troopers said they stopped a vehicle on state Route 7 in Schoharie for a traffic infraction. When a trooper interviewed the driver, later identified as Finch, Finch allegedly provided him with a false name.
According to the report, the trooper could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside of the car. During a search of the vehicle, the trooper found identification with Finch’s legal name on it and more than 12 ounces of marijuana.
Finch was arraigned in Esperance Town Court and sent to Schoharie County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $3,000 bond. He is due back in court at a later date.
