Police: Man misused  customer's credit card

State Police at Sidney arrested Mathew M. Woodard, 30, Franklin, on Oct. 5 for the felony of identity theft in the second degree and the misdemeanor of resisting arrest, according to a media release.

A complainant told troopers Woodard was hired to make repairs to a basement at a residence in Sidney and was given a credit card to purchase materials, the release said.

The victim accused Woodard of using the card to purchase personal items for himself that were not authorized.

Troopers allegedly found Woodard in the town of Franklin, where he reportedly resisted arrest.

He was arraigned in the town of Sidney Court and sent to the Delaware County Jail on $2,5000 cash bail or $5,000 property bond.
