Three people were treated and released at a local hospital following a three-car accident on Main Street in Oneonta, Oneonta police said.

Timothy Tolley, 42, of Maryland, was driving west shortly after 8 a.m. when his car drifted into the oncoming lane and struck two cars head-on before coming to rest after striking the fence at Glenwood Cemetery, police said.

The first vehicle struck was being driven by Arlene Brandenburg, 65, of Oneonta, and the second by John Hammond, 62, of Sidney, police said. All three drivers were taken to A.O. Fox Hospital by Oneonta Fire Department ambulance, police said.

Tolley was ticketed for failure to keep right, and police are investigating whether a pre-existing medical condition caused the accident, according to police.
