Oneonta police arrested an Oneonta man Thursday, June 13, and charged him with possession of cocaine and marijuana.
Alexander M. Coffran, 30, was arrested about 5 p.m. at 32 West Broadway, police Lt. Christopher Witzenburg said.
Coffran was reportedly already on probation for two prior felony charges. During a probation visit at Coffran's residence, probation supervisors found marijuana, resulting in a search of the entire residence, Witzenburg said. The search revealed 8.05 lbs of marijuana, 25 grams of cocaine and 67.5 grams of concentrated cannabis, he said.
Witzenburg said $43,094 was retrieved from Coffran's apartment with probably another $40,000 in street value of the drugs.
Coffran is being held in Otsego County Jail without bail. His court status is unknown at this time, Witzenburg said.
