A Roxbury man has been accused of threatening public employees, Delaware deputies said in a recent media release.
Foster C. Borfitz, no age given, was charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony, after allegedly threatening workers in the Delaware County Department of Social Services as well as law enforcement personnel, deputies said.
He was arrested in connection with an incident in the town of Roxbury on June 8, the release said, and he was arraigned in Delhi Town Court and was released on recognizance to reappear at a later date.
In other local court news, a Stamford man was arrested on sexual abuse charges, state police at Margaretville said.
Damien M. Falconio, age 28, was charged May 25 with three counts of first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, troopers said in a May 27 media release.
His arrest stemmed from a May 25 complaint that identified two female victims, troopers said, and two additional victims have been identified.
The investigation includes alleged offenses that occurred in various locations in Delaware, Otsego and Schoharie counties occurring within the past year.
Falconio was arraigned in Stamford Town Court, the release said, and was committed to the Delaware County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.
A Sidney woman was accused of fraud for receiving food stamps, Delaware deputies said.
Stephenie Hitchcock, 28, was charged June 16 with third-degree welfare fraud, a felony, for allegedly receiving $3,494 in food stamps to which she wasn't entitled, deputies said in a media release.
She is to appear in Delhi Town court at 9 a.m. July 12.
