The Red Dragon Theatre in the Hunt Union at the State University College at Oneonta will be home to Cinema Festival 2012 this week.

The 11 films selected deal with topics ranging from the environmental impact of urbanization to the 1962 defection of a U.S. Army private to North Korea.

All showings are free and open to the public.

Tuesday: 12 to 2:45 p.m., "State of Fear: The Truth about Terrorism" (2007); 3 to 5 p.m., "Umberto. D." (1952).

Wednesday: 5:30 to 8:15 p.m., "Pom Poko" (1994); 8:30 to 10 p.m., "Journey to Planet Earth: The Urban Explosion" (2003).

Thursday: 1 to 3 p.m., "Waiting for Superman" (2010); 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., "Offside" (2006).

Friday: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., "Crossing the Line" (2006); 1:30 to 3 p.m., "Dangerous Living" (2003); 3 to 5 p.m, "Mugabe and the White African" (2009).
