Three people were injured in a four-car crash in Walton on Monday.
Around 11 a.m. , a car was stopped near the intersection of Marvin Hollow Road and state Route 10 in Walton because one lane of state Route 10 was closed for construction, Delaware County Sheriff Craig DuMond said. Three other cars also driving on state Route 10 consecutively crashed into the stationary car in front of them, DuMond said.
The names of those involved in the crash will not be available until Tuesday, DuMond said.
One person was flown by LifeNet to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City with serious injuries, DuMond said. Two people were transported to Delaware Valley Hospital by Walton Emergency Medical Services with minor or light injuries, according to a report at the scene, he said.
DuMond said four other people involved in the accident had no serious injuries.
