One person was sent to the hospital for minor bleeding and one car was heavily damaged after a two-vehicle crash in Treadwell on Wednesday at approximately 5:45 p.m.
John Oldweiler, 71, of Middlesex, was transported to A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital by Treadwell volunteer emergency medical services to be treated for minor bleeding to the face, according to Aga Dembinska, Troop C public information officer.
The driver of the other vehicle, Jason Noble, 39, of East Meredith, was not injured. The crash occurred at the intersection of Warner Hill Road and County Road 14, Dembinska said. Both vehicles were traveling east on county Highway 14 in a no-passing zone. Oldweiler tried to pass the farm vehicle being driven by Noble and hit him.
Oldweiler was ticketed for driving to left of the pavement markings in a no-passing zone, and for driving to left on hillcrest or curve. There was damage to the roof of his car and quarter panels, Dembinska said.
