A woman remained in jail Friday on drug possession charges after Chenango County deputies executed a no-knock search warrant at about 6 p.m. Thursday, a media release said.
Deputies executed the warrant at 3341 State Highway 8 in South New Berlin after an investigation into sales of heroin and cocaine in the area, the release said. The Narcotics Division recovered cocaine and heroin from within the residence as well as packaging material and scales used for weighing the narcotics.
Jennifer L. Perrotti, 39, was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first-degree criminal nuisance, both felonies, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child, deputies said.
Perrotti was arraigned in Columbus Town Court and sent to Chenango County jail on $15,000 cash bail, the release said and she is to appear in New Berlin Town Court at a later date.
The Norwich Police Department and New Berlin Police Department along with K-9 Nitro assisted with the investigation, deputies said.
