Rock and country artist Bonnie Raitt will perform at Brewery Ommegang in an Aug. 1 concert, promoter Dan Smalls Presents announced Monday morning.
Tickets will go on sale Friday for the 7 p.m. show at the Cooperstown area brewery. Admission will be $50, with an additional $15 for camping passes.
Raitt, a nine-time Grammy winner, released her debut album of guitar blues in 1971. Her 1990 album “Nick of Time” is certified quintuple platinum. Raitt has devoted her time to numerous causes during her career, including co-founding the Rhythm and Blues Foundation in 1988 and initiating the Bonnie Raitt Guitar Project in 1995 in coordination with the Boys and Girls Club of America. Raitt’s 19th album, “Slipstream,” released in 2012, put Raitt back in the studio for the first time since 2005. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
Previously announced concerts in Brewery Ommegang’s summer series include the Pixies with TV on the Radio and John Grant on May 22, and The Avett Brothers with John Prine on June 13.
