The ever-energetic Busta Rhymes will be hitting up Turning Stone this month, according to a Monday media release from the venue.
American recording artist, actor, record producer and record executive Trevor George Smith Jr., better known by his stage name, “Busta Rhymes,” will perform an exclusive set of his songs at Turning Stone's LAVA Nightclub on Saturday, March 18, according to the release.
Doors at LAVA will open at 10 p.m., with an opening set by DJ360. Tickets for the show can be purchased in advance online through Eventbrite, the release said. Attendees must be at least 21.
Known for his outlandish dress and innovative music, Busta has secured 11 Grammy nominations for his work, including singles “Dangerous,” “Gimme Some More” and “Turn It Up.” He was recently featured on the Hamilton Mixtape, performing a remix of a song from the award-winning musical. And he's apparently working on a new album, due out in 2017.
The live performance at Turning Stone will top off an already-packed weekend of live MMA action and St. Patrick’s Day festivities, including food and drink specials and a contest where one bingo player will win a trip for two to Ireland, according to casino officials.
The Oneida Indian Nation’s Turning Stone Resort Casino features four hotels, two spas, five golf courses, more than 20 dining options, a 125,000-square-foot Las Vegas-style gaming floor, a cabaret style Showroom, a 5,000 seat arena, and several nightlife venues. It's located 30 miles east of Syracuse at NYS Thruway exit 33.
