Live music and family-friendly activities will take center stage on Friday, Oct. 30, during the Monster Mash Bash dance and concert at the Castle on the Delaware in Walton.
"Break out your costume and celebrate Halloween with live music and dancing in a gothic castle," a media release said. The event will feature a DJ dance party starting at 6 p.m., with short sets of live music by teen duo Take 2 at 7 and 8 p.m. A costume contest and a "dance-off" will also be included in the night's activities. Food and snacks will be available, including a cash bar for those older than 21. According to the release, the event is appropriate for children, teens and adults.
Twin singer-songwriters Adrian and Julian Woodrow, who perform as Take 2, are touring Delhi, Walton and Sidney area schools to perform free concerts. The 18-year-old twins live in southern Vermont and have competed on "The Voice" and "X-Factor." Visit Take 2’s website at www.take2official.com for more information.
Admission is $7 at the door, with a $1 discount for anyone in costume. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The Castle is at 139 Stockton Ave. in Walton.
