Mark Drnek is running for the city of Oneonta Common Council as the representative from the Eighth Ward.

Several years ago, Oneonta was on the verge of losing its 501(c)(3) tax status for First Night. Hence, we would have lost First Night. The problem was that First night had not paid its bills for the previous year. The IRS was not at all happy. Mark put together a ‘First Night’ Committee. The five members of this committee stood behind First Night and co-signed for a line of credit from NBT Bank. The debts were paid and we kept our tax status.

As this example demonstrates, Mark is a man of action; he gets things done. Additional examples of Mark’s action include the Downtown Improvement Project, Everything Oneonta, the Sweet Home Calendar and more.

Thanks for this opportunity to let the residents of the Eighth Ward know that they have an outstanding candidate that would represent them well.
