Margaret L. Gage and Carlos J. Solomczak were united in marriage at a double-ring ceremony Friday, May 21, at Grace Episcopal Church in Cherry Valley.
The bride is the daughter of Evelyn and the late Harold Utter of Cherry Valley. The groom is the son of Maria and the late Joseph Solomczak of Long Island City.
The bride's parents were married 61 years ago on the same date and in the same church.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her sons, Daniel and Darrell Gage.
Merrilee Collins, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and her husband, Paul Collins, was the best man.
Scripture readings and prayers were read by Peggy Collins, Michelle Haig and Sarah Easton. Programs were distributed before the ceremony by Tiffany Thompson.
The bride's mother was escorted by her grandson, Max Collins.
Soloists during the ceremony were Mike Feulner and Patrick Calleo.
The Rev. David Plank, supply rector of the church, officiated at the Holy Eucharistic ceremony, and MaryEllen Fenner served as organist.
Flowers were arranged by Jackie Hull, friend of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Limestone Mansion in Cherry Valley. The guests began the evening with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the carriage barn, followed by a dinner prepared by Wolfegang and Loretta Welter in the mansion.
The evening concluded with dancing in the carriage barn with music by Mike Feulner and Jeff Walton.
The bride has been employed at Gates-Cole Associates in Cherry Valley for 25 years as an insurance agent and office manager. The groom is employed by Harvard Maintenance in New York as a commercial window cleaner.
They live in Cherry Valley. The couple vacationed in Dewey Beach, Del.
