Taylor Vonasek finished with team-highs of 14 points and eight rebounds Thursday, but Hartwick College closed the semester with a 64-45 non-conference women’s basketball loss at Sage College.
The Hawks (1-6) were outscored, 37-17, in the second half as Sage improved to 5-3 on the season.
Emily Stone contributed eight points for Hartwick, which held a 25-14 lead with less than four minutes left in the opening half. The Hawks shot 5-for-24 from the field after halftime as first-year coach Jackie Craft lost in her return to Sage, where she coached from 2005-14.
