Three second-half goals powered SUNY Cobleskill past Elmira, 3-2, Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Anna Post, a Delaware Academy alumna, potted the game-winner for the Fighting Tigers in the 83rd minute.
Cobleskill trailed, 2-0, as late as the 76th minute but managed three goals in seven minutes.
Jennifer Flynn and Nicole Hanselman struck for the Soaring Eagles, making it 2-0.
Fighting Tigers freshman Julia Howard kicked off the comeback with a deflection from 12 yards out to cut it to a 2-1 score.
Chloe Antalek tied the game, 2-2, on a direct kick 22 yards out in the 78th minute, before Post scored in the 83rd minute following a pass from Rebecca Bruno.
Cobleskill goalkeeper Abigail Wetsel had 12 saves and Ally Knorr-Anderson made 14 saves for Elmira.
Shots favored the Soaring Eagles, 22-21, while the Fighting Tigers ended with the 5-4 advantage in corners.
SUNY Cobleskill (2-7-1) will host The Express of Wells College at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.
Union 3, Hartwick 1
Union scored a pair of second-half goals to defeat visiting Hartwick.
The Dutchwomen went ahead, 1-0, 13 minutes into the first quarter, only for the Hawks to answer two minutes later on a goal from Allyson Quirk. Katie Meuse had the assist after collecting the rebound from Brooke Singer’s shot on a penalty corner.
The tie lasted through halftime before Union went ahead with a pair of third-quarter strikes. Charlotte Leyland backed up her first-quarter marker before Katherine Sadak notched an insurance goal.
Shots finished tied at 13, and Hartwick had a slight 8-7 lead in shots on goal. Union outshot Hartwick, 7-2, in the third quarter. The Hawks also led in penalty corners, 8-5.
Hartwick (6-3) will try to snap a two-game losing streak Saturday, Oct. 5, with a visit to St. John Fisher.
