Maddie Saleman and Allison Hannigan finished with 10 aces apiece Wednesday to lead undefeated Delhi to a 3-0 volleyball victory at home over Midstate Athletic Conference rival Unatego.

Delhi (4-0, 1-0) also received eight assists from Meg Halberian and eight kills from Faith Spangler in its 25-10, 25-10, 25-21 triumph.

Carly Hill had five digs and three aces for Unatego (0-2, 0-1), which hosts Greene on Friday.

The Bulldogs visit Oxford on Friday.

UV 3, Sidney 0

Hannah Lazarus had five kills and three aces to lead host Unadilla Valley to a 25-9, 25-16, 25-8 Midstate Athletic Conference sweep.

The Storm also received three aces and two kills from Blaize Kolvik.

Carolee Pierce had two kills and a block to pace Sidney.

CROSS COUNTRY

at Herkimer

Scott Curtis and Kristin Ratliff earned overall individual victories for Cooperstown’s boys and girls, who each went 3-1 during a quad-meet on the road.

Curtis won the boys race in 19:10, 32 seconds ahead of teammate Steve Ratliff (sixth).

Kristin Ratliff cruised to the girls title in 20:30 for the Hawkeyes, who got a second from Heidi Edmonds (21:08).

at Coxsackie-Athens

Kevin Malen won the 3-mile boys race in 16:58 to lead visiting Windham to team victories over Hunter-Tannersville, Catskill and the host school.

“He led from start to finish,” Windham coach Jesse Berube said.

Gus Shuter (third, 18:00), Michael Leishear (fourth, 18:36) and Matthew Sullivan (fifth, 18:47) also contributed to Windham’s sweep.

Gabi Morelli paced Windham’s girls with an eighth in 25:37.

Windham faces Maple Hill at Hunter-Tannersville on Tuesday.

Afton 2, Sidney 1

Shakari Coss scored twice Tuesday as host Afton knocked Sidney from the undefeated ranks with a Section Four win.

Coss scored the tying goal in the second half and the winner in overtime for the Crimson Knights (4-2), who finished with advantages of 13-3 in shots and 11-2 in penalty corners.

Breanna Voltz opened the scoring in the first half for Sidney (5-1). Warriors goalie Ariyahna Bernard cleared an Afton corner up the left alley to Mallory Stillman, who carried the ball down the field and crossed to Voltz.

Bernard had 11 saves for Sidney, which will host the rematch at 5 p.m. Friday.

Winning goalie Makayla Houle made two saves.

at Christman’s

Chase Plattner earned medalist honors with a 4-over-par 38 to lead Hunter-Tannersville to a 168-202 non-league win on Christman’s Valley Course.

Jared Haines (42), Chris Lagzdins (44) and Kaeden Leach (44) rounded out the scoring for the Wildcats.

Steve Anderson, Geoff Mattice and Connor Scheurs shot 50s for Stamford (5-4, 5-3), which hosts Jefferson on Monday.
