Sidney to host pro wrestling
The Hillcrest Roller Skating Rink in Sidney will host an East Coast Professional Wrestling event at 7 p.m. Saturday.
The card features a match between ECPW 607 Champion Lil Daddy C, from Sidney, and ECPW owner Gino Caruso. Other scheduled matches are The Dawg of War Rottmare vs. Gabriel Soul; AnarchY vs. Chad Evans; The Benchmark Bill Daly vs. Big Ben Cromwell; The Japanese Assassin and The Superstar Jesse Lee vs. Brooklyn Joey Sassano and Average Joe; Ricky The Model Martinez vs. Mr. Entertainment Junior White; and Draven, TheOneandONLY vs. Nate "The Renegade" Regals, with special referee Billy "K-9" Pierce.
A 20-man battle royal also is on the card.
Tickets cost $13 for front-row seats and $10 for general admission, or $15 the day of the show.

Pitching camp continues Sunday
The 2012 Oneonta Pitching Camp for girls ages 8-18 will run consecutive Sundays, continuing this Sunday and ending March 4, at the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club.
Session I is for advanced pitchers, Session II is for intermediate and Session III is for beginners. There are limited openings for Session I, which runs from 1:30-3:30 p.m. and costs $200. Pitchers must possess the basic fundamentals and mechanics of windmill pitching.
Sessions II and III are $85 each. Session II runs from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and Session III runs from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Hall to celebrate black history
The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown will host special daily youth programs in celebration of Black History Month during the Presidents' Week break, from Feb. 20-24.
Daily programming includes the Artifact Spotlight at 11 a.m. and So You Think You Know Baseball? at 3 p.m.
The Hall will show the film "Black Baseball in Indiana" at 1 p.m. Feb. 20 and 22 in the Bullpen Theater, where the film "Buck O'Neil and Black Baseball in Chicago" will run at 1 p.m. Feb. 23.
The Hall also will feature a Curator Spotlight at 1 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Pride and Passion Exhibit.
The programs are included with regular admission.
The VIP Experience: Classroom Connections, which is not included with regular admission, is scheduled for Feb. 23-24. This special package is available on select dates and includes exclusive, after-hours access to the Hall on Feb. 23 and a private reception Feb. 24.

Football boosters to meet Feb. 23
The Oneonta Football Booster Club will meet in Room 305 at Oneonta High at 6 p.m. Feb. 23.
The meeting will focus on the elections of new officers.
Swimming lessons start soon
SUNY Delhi will offer swimming lessons beginning March 24.
Option I is six lessons from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturdays, from March 24-May 12, and costs $35.
Option II is 12 lessons from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturdays and from 4-5 p.m. Wednesdays, from March 21-May 12, and costs $50.
Registration runs from 9 a.m.-noon March 17 at the Kunsela Hall Pool.
Lessons will not be held April 4, 6, 11 and 14.
SUNY Delhi also will hold a water exercise class on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 19-May 10. The class will not be held April 9 and 12.
On the same days, SUNY Delhi will hold an aerobic class from 5:15-6:15 p.m.
Seven-week options cost $30 for one day per week, $60 for two and $80 for three. Participants also may pay $6 per day.

Lacrosse camp starts July 25
The High Octane Lacrosse Camp will run July 25-28 at SUNY Delhi's Clark Field House.
SUNY Delhi coach Bob Leary and his staff will run the overnight camp, which is for boys ages 8-18 and costs $375.
