Oneonta Post 259 scored six seventh-inning runs to come from behind and force a 10-10 tie against Home Post 465 on Tuesday. The game was called after eight innings due to darkness.

Sean MacInerney got the start on the mound for the Green Wave and threw two scoreless innings before being replaced by Jordan Goble in the third. Head coach Mike Jester said he decided to try and save MacInerney's arm for an upcoming tournament rather than have him pitch a full game on Tuesday.

"We used the whole bullpen because we have this tournament this week," he said. "I think Sean could have given us five or six scoreless if needed, but we want to use him in the tournament and save his arm."

Homer scored four runs in the third, three more in the fifth, two in the sixth and another in the seventh to make it 10-4 heading into the final half inning.

Oneonta's John Mikolaicyk led off the seventh with a triple, his second of the day, to set the table for the big inning.

Jester said Ryan Packard and Caden Clow each had big hits in the inning, before Mikolaicyk came up again and hit a sacrifice fly to score Cameron Neer and tie the game at 10.

Clow and Tanner Beang each tripled on Tuesday.

"Our at-bats for the first five or six innings weren't as good as they were the last six games or so, but that's baseball," Jester said. "In the seventh we got the offense going, didn't quit and put together some good hitting."

Beang also made his first appearance on the mound since injuring his thumb on opening day. He came on in the seventh and finished the game for the Green Wave.

The tie brings Oneonta's unbeaten streak to five games. The Green Wave have lost just one of their last nine games.

Oneonta (12-6-1) takes on Newburgh Post 152 at 12 Conlon Field in Binghamton on Wednesday.
