SK grad Stinson qualifies for NCAA championship meet

Kaitlyn Stinson, a native of South Kortright, will be competing in the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Kentucky Saturday, Nov. 23.

Stinson, a graduate student at Utica College, qualified for the championship race with her 17th-place finish at the NCAA Atlantic Regional meet in Canton Saturday, Nov. 16. Stinson finished the 6K course in 23:06, good for the second-best regional finish in school history.

This marks the second straight season Stinson has qualified for the national meet. Last year, Stinson recorded the best finish for a Pioneer, earning 180th place.

Pair of OHS athletes sign NLI’s

Oneonta High School seniors Teddy McGraw and Kylie McKee each officially committed to continue their athletic careers Friday, Nov. 15.

McGraw signed his national letter of intent to play baseball at Wake Forest while McKee will further her diving career at St. Bonaventure. Both schools are Division I programs.
